EVGA PSU good quality?

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

Stay away from the G3 units. They have issues with Over current protections.

Look for a 750 Watt power supply when i saw the 80+ gold model from EVGA. WAYYYY cheaper than the others. Is it good quality.

Kind of self explanatory, though it's going to be fine if it's a GQ PSU. Just look for a review from PCper or Jonnyguru or something with actual PSU testing equipment.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

We don't know what PSU you're talking about, you didn't say which one it is.

1. For what System? Usually when People want a 750W, they need a 400W in good quality

2. What PSU are you talking about?

The only good quality EVGA units I know is the GS, G2, P2, and T2 series. G3, B3, B1 and G1s are either mediocre or present issues with their protections.

And honestly, for damn near everybody the G3 is too. I still recommend them despite their OPP point being sky-high.

On sale maybe, the issue is that it's still worse than other units for less (Formula, FOCUS Plus)
