IPhone X or Samsung Galaxy S9

Personally I think even the Samsung S5 is better than the IPhone X. This is mainly because the IPhone's operating system which is IOS is as tight as possible, Apple are now restricting 3rd party apps and jailbreak is definitely out of the question. I don't know why Apple want to make their phone as controlled as possible and in my opinion, the OS wouldn't suit all of my needs, infact, the OS will probably suit none of my needs. However, Android in contrast is so much better and doesn't restrict anything, infact, it may even encourage you to do what you like with the phone and customize it as much as you like, it gives you the freedom and things like widgets and always on display are much better features than anything Apple can provide. Also, Samsung hardware is much better than IPhone hardware statistic wise and appearance - and at a cheaper price.

This is a flame war thread. But the iPhone is better lol. Apple has actually been opening things up more and more making jailbreaking really not needed anymore. Not to mention security on android doesn't exist

I'd say Android is more secure to be honest, maybe Android KitKat is unsecure however the latest versions are far from unsecure. It's up to the user to be careful of dodgy activity.

Go with whatever works for you. Go into the stores and experiment with the phones yourself to find the one you like. Chances are, despite all the knobs and whistles, you will barely use them. Remember Bixby?

 

I've had android phones since 2011. I bought an iPhone around 2016. Sold it because I wasn't satisfied when I realized it was just too small for me (iPhone SE).

 

Come to 2018, I sold my Galaxy S8 and bought an iPhone 8+. I didn't buy the iPhone X because I didn't have the money at the time to do so, but I haven't regretted my choice.

There was an indecent where like 5 Samsung phones exploded, however Samsung fixed this straight away and there hasn't been reports since. Maybe some dodgy chineeze phone brand exploded but i'm talking about a prestige company such as Samsung. Android Oreo is simple and very nice to use, however IOS is just dead and boring.

No... they didn't, Samsung admitted their phone were dangerous, recalled them, got banned from aircraft, sent out replacements, had to recall those, and then just gave up.

In my opinion, I think that I'd prefer using Android. I believe apple is too overpriced just due to the popularity of the brand. If you compare the same generation of phones from an Android company compared to apple you will notice that the performance on the Android phone will be the same / even better then the Apple phone for the same price. This leaves me to conclude this by talking about the OS of both devices. I believe that IOS are more secure in some ways but come on, when was the last time you had a virus on your phone? Also, the Android OS allows for much more customization to suit your needs unlike apple where everything seems to be fixed in place with not much room for customization. I am obviously talking about the wallpapers which change the whole layout and design of menus, the widgets which allow for a more personalized / practical look. And much more. In my opinion, this should conclude how Android is better then IOS and I completely agree with Akram.
