Hey guys,

Irrespective of the CPU,MOBO and etc what GPU would you choose between GTX 1050 Ti (6GB VRAM) or a GTX 1060(3GB)?

Any help is appreciated.

No, because he said 6GB *VRAM* Meaning Virtual, so some of the memory would be located externally, rather than within the gpu

PC SPECS: i7 - 3820, 32GB GSkill DDR3 RAM, 2TB Seagate Hybrid Drive, Intel 240GB SSD, Corsair Spec Omega Case, Strix GTX 1060 6GB, Corsair H150i Pro RGB, Corsair CX850M PSU

1050Ti 6GB does not exist. Only a 4GB variant.

1060 3GB and 1060 6GB models do exist thought.

The price difference between the 3GB and 6GB 1060's is so little, it would be stupid to get the 3GB. @ItsTheDuckAgain took a screenshot of the price difference. $10. Buy the 6GB.

hi.

He is probably talking about the 4GB 1050Ti and the 3GB 1060.

VRAM = Video Random Access Memory

It's an old term, but we still use it.

vRAM  = virtual RAM. Virtual resources are always designated by a lower case v (vRAM, vCPU, vSAN etc.) ;)

1050Ti is only available in a 4GB variety. The 1060 is available in 3GB and 6GB varieties of which the 6GB is the faster version overall.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

@ItsTheDuckAgain @AskTJ It depends on his location. When I got my 1060 3GB, the 6GB was $100 more ... so for roughly 10% difference in performance I had to pay almost 35% more. IMO it wasn't worth it at the time (but seeing how GPU prices skyrocketed right after my purchase, I now think I should've bought the 6GB version! lol).

So yeah, it depends on price, while the screenshot shows 10$ difference, I'm going to guess that's US prices, and OP isn't from US.

I am really sorry I wanted to say 1050 Ti (4gb) or 1060(3gb). My bad.
