crypto miners selling off overworked boards.

Yes, but these are not the ones that OP is looking for. I highly doubt a lot of miners will be using 7970s or 1050 Tis ;-)

While true, I don't trust ebay at the moment for graphics cards due to both scammers and crypto miners selling off overworked boards.

Crypto miners aren't targeting last generation cards though. They were almost exclusively buying rx400 , rx500 and gtx 10 series cards due to their high efficiency . No one is buying older AMD hd 7000 , r9 200 or r9 300 series gpus or nvidia 700 and 900 series cards due to their lower power efficiency not to mention the poor mining performance of the latter 2.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

noo broo i dont builded this , i bought this from a pc market , and that surprise me because a strong cpu and so much ram and still cant play in 50 fps in low -_-

Agreed; a severe bottleneck caused by that Radeon card; the i7 and the ram are plenty enough; just look for a more up to date and capable card (preferably with 2GB of vram)

My PC (Known as TRX):

—CPU: TR 1900X

—Ram: 16GB Corsair Dom Plats "ROG Edition"

—Graphics: GTX 1080 Ti FTW3

—Motherboard: Asrock X399 Taichi

—Storage: 512GB Sabrent Rocket, 2.5TBs HDD

—CPU Cooling: Cooler Master ML360 TR4 RGB Edition

—Case: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P

—PSU: Corsair AX860

I’ve been trying to play fortnite on low end computers for two weeks now. I can’t help with the graphics card. But I do know that my settings change in the game quite often. I think there’s an “auto detect” I turned off before my settings got left alone. Not all my settings got changed. Just the ones that deal with the graphics

i cant play it in 480x360 and you are saying 720p :S

I said it was questionable at 720p, not that you could play anything. That card was made for low-mid range performance at 1024*1280 in 2004s titles

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Pretty sure the 5450 can be beaten by integrated graphics on modern CPUs...

Even just shelling out $60 for a used GTX 680/770 or HD 7870/7950 would be a massive upgrade.

  • 4 weeks later...

I recommend something like a gtx 770, and if you can, try to make sure it's not a scam. (that is, if you haven't decided by now. I see this post is a couple weeks old.)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
