i7 8750h - Power Limit Throttling - Low TDP Even though cooling is capable

upd i try most of them, but it doesn't work, then a press something like "standart settings" f9. after that i lounch stress test and cpu was 45w. i try play a game cpu show me 45w, but i have hard freeze and after that cpu again has lock 25w.

Uhhh shit, i hate this laptop. I try second time use bios 201 but laptop no turning on and nothing helps

Were there tdp or power limitation settings? I'm trying to modify BIOS v308 with AMIBCP, and I want to know what settings were available in BIOS v201. If you can, please upload some screenshots of BIOS' power settings.

It's same as v308's hidden settings list. But whenever I try to modify it with AMIBCP it doesn't boot. I think the best way is to change TDP settings in v201. I think it's related to Power Limit 3(Advanced->Power&Performance->CPU-Power Management Control->Power Limit 3 Settings). If Power Limit 3 is 25W, try changing it..

Has anyone found a fix? I own the Asus FX 504 and i am still freezing in all my games with a cpu and gpu undervolt. I have also realized that my cinabench scores have dropped to 600 even with a cpu undervolt.

Hola comunidad, tengo el portátil Asus TUF Gaming FX504 con un I5-8300h y una GTX 1060 6Gb hace 10 meses, principio de todo el instale el CS: GO en el HDD y comenzó a tartamudear, pensé que estaba mal y no entendía porque busque una solución e instale el CS: GO en el SDD y también le compre una base para levantar el note y me funciono por lo menos para ese juego.

Tiempo después instale los BF a lo que también empezaron a tartamudear, dando bajones de fps y jugando muy como las weas jajajaja, ante esto solo me resigne a no jugar. Buscando en internet me encontré con el ThrottleStop, este programa me ayudo bastante y pude jugar los juegos fluidos pero de vez en cuando los juegos tartamudeaban, por esto me descargue el MSI Afterburner para monitorear las temperaturas y esas cosas, con el tiempo aprendí a usarlo y por lo que me di cuenta era que la CPU se limitaba a un máximo de 2.3 GHz por lo que empezaba un indagar e hice una CPU de baja tensión y la GPU mediante el ThrottleStop y el MSI Afterburner respectivamente, cosa que funcionaba más o menos . Hasta este punto nunca había tocado el Intel XTU, y viendo que a personas le funcionaba, concentrado de usarlo, pero no me funciona en ningún caso por lo que los desinstale y misteriosamente dejo de haber aceleración térmica.

Ahora los juegos me van fluidos, muchos mejores que antes, aunque debo comprar otra memoria RAM de 8 Gb y un SSD de 1 Tb puesto que el HDD es muy lento y no cargan muy rápido los mapas. Cabe resaltar que debo iniciar el TS y el MSI antes de cada juego.

Abajo dejo las configuraciones que tengo en el PC y la Bios, espero que les funcione.

find solution:
to escape random hard freeze you should open back panel and disconnect AKB (uncomfortable but it works)

Hola, buenas! Consulta, ¿alguna vez se congelo tu notebook de la nada en algun videojuego?, a  mi me sucede casi siempre de forma aleatoria cuando juego, como por ejemplo: fornite y cod, tengo que mantener presionado el botón de apagar y forzar cierre, ya que no responde para nada y no me da ninguna otra opción.

tengo el mismo Asus TUF Gaming FX504 con un I5-8300h y una GTX 1060 6Gb. Saludos!

It's true, I tried disconnecting the battery and it's been 12 days without problems.
It's very uncomfortable because i need a notebook for mobility, but at least it no longer stucks in games that it did before (I didn't undervolt or anything, just disconnect the internal battery)

Those vrms need to cool down so i think of sticking the thermals pad onto it and directly stick those thermal pads on the copper heatsinks to transmit those heat outside to get the higher 25W. I think those thermal pads should be on the red circle. Sr for my bad english. Someone please test and post your result for everyone to refer

I've just had a BIOS update to 310 06/09/2020 through Windows Update does anyone have a changelog as there's nothing on the ASUS website ? I have an FX504GM.

Bios 310 includes a security patch for intel chips and it disables undervolting and underclocking .
