I liked it so much I bought a second one, very good for the price. The 3D features are useless in my opinion.

If i could get a BenQ 27in 1ms, 144hz, would that be the better option?

you will need to use DVI-D or Display Port to have 144hz.

HDMI on can do 60hz unlike DVI-D and display port which can do 144hz.

all monitors have dvi-d, what matters is the screens refresh rate. dvi-d can do any refresh rate up to 144hz in 1080p.

you are comparing a 144 hz monitor with a 70hz one..which means you will play a 144 fps (if your GPU supports that) and the other one will have max 70 fps
check that link https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/729232-guide-to-display-cables-adapters-v2/

so is asus a better brand? what if I find a comparable benq monitor

im not saying asus is a better brand. just this asus monitor is better for gaming, because it has more hz which means you can play on more fps if your gpu is good enough.if you are lazy,go to 01:43 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLT7-UiScLU
