stable = stable. crash in prime95 = not stable. prime 95 can give errors, but thats the programs fault. if your system crashes, it still is unstable.

Errors, what kind of errors? Like when i go above 4,5 GHz, my 4'th core constantly gets 100 warnings and then stops, no matter how high i upped my voltage?

Damn 1 core, even tried upping the voltage to 1,63 because i got angry.. still 100 warnings and then it stops  :(

Does anybody know if i turn my voltage up to over 1,6/7 vcore and fry my cpu, if it will damage my motherboard? Don't really care about the CPU, that shitty 4100 is getting changed as soon as possible. (going for 8350)

The posibillity to fry the mobo is verry small, but watch the VRM temps, i know AMD overheats like crazy...

Got a 2500 back when i built my pc rather than a 2500k because i never thought ied be overclocking inclined - worse than deciding to go bareback.

Update to my previous reply, managed to push into windows and prime95 running 5Ghz @ 1.455V on air, Maxed at 86'c, sat at around 85 on the hottest, was tempted to keep stressing the validate but I decided not to and dropped the OC back to default.

So, this is with a coolermaster 212 evo.... It runs prime 95 for around 15 hours before it has it's first error, but runs more or less stable for even the most intensive games and rendering, however my system has never crashed. I'm tempted to go for 5.5 just to see

Yeah, it's bloody freezing in my house tonight, but even on 35 celcius days it handles 5.1 just fine, however I tend to run it at around 4.5 normally. I also just tried 5.5 without upping my voltages or anything and it crashed. I think I'll just stick with 5.1 from here. At least until I invest in a good cooling loop

No need to prime at 5GHz... Run your benchmarks.

Good temps and volts btw considering Prime.

Yea, I kinda backed off my OC down to 4.5 after awhile just considering I didn't need it, I'll eventually bench under 5Ghz some time, but not any time soon.

that is crazy!!! :o What are your temps? Did you delid? And what is your ambient temperature?

Seems like you have an amazing chip if you can reach 5ghz with 1.332V

My temps are listed in the screenshot, I've been using prime95 on it since then and it's crept up to 72 degrees celcius and as I said before my ambient temperatures are pretty low at the moment but it does pretty well at a reasonable to high temperature too. On my mobo the voltage is atually set to 1.35 not 1.33
