Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I had originally assumed max OC, but the user M-ursu was saying he got his 5ghz running 24/7 on the previous page, my jaw just dropped. Then suddenly i thought everyone in the 5ghz club was running it 24/7. lol.

I could understand one guy willing to push his cpu that hard, but not a whole thread.

Well it is possible but you will degrade and it will no r be stable at 5ghz so try using your cpu 5 more years on 5 ghz :)

This might be a silly question, but are you guys running at 5ghz day to day? Are modern processors really that awesome now or is that a max overclock? lol, even 4ghz on a day to day overclock would be a dream for me.
I run my 8150 at 4.6ghz 24/7

My 2600K:

I'm using a Scythe Katana 4 for cooling the CPU. Normally I'm running 4.8Ghz so I don't have to add some RPM's to the fans. Temps with 4.8 are 32C idle, 67C after Prime. With 5Ghz, idle 35C, 68C after Prime. Am I in? :)

Funny how I made a thread just like this.. before this one, and this is more popular, lacking any spreadsheet. Unreal.

Anyway, can't fight, join.. etc.

I'm trying to compile our cooling solutions as well to help people' date=' can you share what you use?[/quote']

Google Spreadsheets is what I used. Just set the spreadsheet to view as public and link it. It's what I did.
