Yup its set at x24. I already went through and turned off all the power saving options in the bios. Using a sabertooth 990FX board. When testing it gets up to around the 75C mark but under normal use it never go past 50ish. If I set the multiplier any higher and get into prime 95 it starts throwing immediate errors and will most likely crash. I think im just hitting the max my chip can handle. Would love to be at 5.0 at least though.

To be clear, nobody expects to run your chip at 5.0 24/7 if it can do 5.3/5.5, this is just for scores and max clock. If you will run it at 5.0 24/7, it will degrade due to the voltage needed for that and also the heat.Jimmmeyyyy here, had it running at 5.0 and it eventually died. Altough his was doing 5.5 prime stable for 6H... Gold silicone man..

Good job on making it, you should post your 5.3 though, when your above what I got don't worry about stability, just go for your highest clock

Need 4hours stability while my 5 wasn't 4 hours yet its still going strong the 5.3 blue screened after like 5 minutes

Oh wow.... Now you can drop down your clock now, that's ahh, not so good. That much voltage must also be killing your temps too

yea currently running at 4.8 ghz with 1.37 voltage

The voltage going through some of these CPUs is crazy! 1.44v, 1.46v, you guys are going to damage yourselves :L

I had mine at 1.58 only for like an hour though (In that one hour I probably decreased the life of my cpu by like a year)

Looking at your 5.1GHz OC you're probably going to need to put more than 1.6V through your CPU and I really wouldn't recommend that :P

Man i was able to do it just you need some new thermal compound man, it pushed me to 5ghz with my 8350 but then again its all about the chip I might have been lucky
