I'd have quite a lot to say in terms of what is likely a waste of money, but that depends on your usage.

So he can use it as toothpaste for a month. Duh. To use the PC, you must become the PC.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

I am planning on setting up a new rig at home and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions

Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/knVXbX

The build looks fine, but here's a question: Why? Are you just getting the rig for fun, because you want the best or is it pertinent to your job? Because if you don't mind me adding, this hardware will likely become obsolete once the next few generations of hardware drops - it'll last longer than cheaper rigs (trickle down economics!), but I think it would be more prudent to spend more like $2000 on getting a new rig every couple of years.

Well it's for you to decide how to spend your money, but personally I'd go for something like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/h6HYnn.

I don't think it's prudent to spend as much money on a PC as a decent car "just because."

look, we allow some freedom of expression, but also we need some responsibility and maturity when making a thread.

these big budget builds really do waste our community's time.

please do not troll our forums
