The GTX 1070ti makes more sense than a 1080 if the price is a lot lower .

Look, it comes down to budget. If you want the best-of-the-best, then the 1080TI. If you aren't comfortable with the price gap, the 1080.

the 1080 has anywhere from a -5 to -20 FPS of the 1080 TI.

Since you're at 1080p, I'm sure the GTX 1080 will do you fine. If you for sure need the 100+ FPS, then the 1080 TI will secure that.

IDEK what game this is but it kind of helps

Damn that an awful deal. Thought about used any???

UPDATE: 1070 Dual SLI might actually be a better deal, and can perform at or better than the level of a 1080 TI, though (as in the case of Hitman), not all games utilize SLI. Also, SLI is janky. Your choice.

Yeah you could buy the 1080 TI used lol

There isn't a GPU that currently meets those requirements, not even the Titan V. I think you need to recalibrate your expectations.

If you're prepared to not "MAX out all eye candy settings", and aim for something a bit more sensible, then you'll be looking at a 1080 Ti.

Posting links without commentary isn't helpful: what am I supposed to be taking from it? Note that I've owned a 1070, 1080, and 1080 Ti, so am pretty conversant with the capabilities of all of them.

If you clicked the link you would see that the 1080 ti keeps over 100 fps in max settings... but your right i should have added that but i totally neglected that since im currently stressing about looking at sites for the best choice ;)

Yeah, those benchmarks aren't very useful, since there's almost no detail to them or explanation of their provenance. As I've said, I've owned the 1080 Ti, and read plenty of reviews (including detailed benchmarks) of it prior to purchase. It's not going to be good enough, much as the Titan V wouldn't be.

That's a pretty broad request. What are you trying to achieve here?
