It depends on how badly you want a system now and what pricing is like for you.

It should help to read this:

Moved to New Builds and Planning.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Depends on your budget. I built a new PC in December last year with a budget of around $400 and I wasn't able to fit the ridiculously overpriced RAM into my budget, so I'm stuck on 4GB. If you have a budget of around $1000 you should be able to build something just fine now, but you'd be able to get better stuff from waiting.

if you need to build now, buy what makes the most sense now.

If you are waiting for the "next thing to come out", you'll always be waiting.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W

According to the youtube vidoes i've seen they said the GPU must be the most expensive part of my build. is that right?

Hi sorry about my first post. I didn't read the disclaimer before posting. allow me to repost my plan :)

1) my budget is around 500-700 and my location is: Northwest USA

2) May aim is to play steam games for ultra resolution like CS:G) , Skyrim ( with crazy amounts of re texture mods and ENBs), fallout (with crazy amounts of re texture mods and ENBs), rainbow siege, OSU, LoL, Dota 2 and light content creation like game play recording without much edit.

3) I do have dual monitors atm (please help look for resolution pls)

4)will also buy the cheapest mech keyborad available but that can wait. my priority in on my tower first.

5) Im upgrading because I got this Dell otiplex 990 from a computer store for like $300 with intel core i7 CPU and ATI firepro V4800 GPU

PS.( its my first build and im planing to use a mid size tower plus atx motherboard. is that bad? )

THANKS!

1080p 60hz, I'd go used since it's quite cheap to find those monitors.

As for the computer itself, I would go with a Ryzen 3 1200 and a GTX 1050 ti with 2x4gb sticks of DDR4.

reuse the drives, and if it's wattage is high enough, you can reuse the PSU.
