You intend to upgrade, so go Ryzen. 2 minutes ago, Nakshatra said: and should i go with RX 580 or GTX 1060 If it's the GTX 1060 3GB, go with the RX 580. If it's the 6GB, go with whatever is cheaper. RX 580 has larger VRAM, but the 1060 will have better power efficiency and [dependant on cooler] should run a little cooler. In my opinion due to being a more popular choice, the GTX 1060 will likely have better resale value in 2 years time if you're planning on selling it when you upgrade, however this is just my speculation and I can't guarantee this. You don't have to buy into Ryzen 2 straight away, but even buying into the original Ryzen 1 series will set you on a good upgrade path and the ryzen 5 1600 will be a great cpu for you. Posted April 4, 2018 For just gaming, i5-8400 is better. But I'd say best option is to wait for Ryzen 2 launch and see how the market is at that time. If I remember right, Ryzen 2 is supposed to bring better single core and gaming performance to the table. Ex-EX build: Liquidfy C+... R.I.P. Might as well wait, under a month.
