Best Budget phone Refurbished or New

AdmiralMeowmix

My samsung galaxy s5 has lost it's ability to use the microphone properly. So i need an upgrade or change of phone. Max budget would be $400 but prefer a range more of $250. All I'm really lookin for is the best I can buy for the price. Doesn't matter if it's brand new or refurbished.

Honor 7x is $199.99. They'll be doing flash sales on the 6th to the 8th on their website where you might snag one for $1 if you're fast enough. :)

Otherwise I'd look into whatever's on sale at the time you're buying. Everyone has some special going on all of the time.

The 7X is hard to beat in its price bracket.

Sure, you may find something better at $300-400 but you will walk into diminishing returns.

Are there any must-haves likes 3.5mm jack, microsd slot, preference of fingerprint placement?

Any problems using your current phone? Any features you would like to have or need to perform particularly well?

Headphone jack is indeed a must.

Oh I also should mention it has to work with Sprint.

So I don't thgink the Honor 7X will work since it's not compatible with sprint.

Ah. CDMA phone. Well, that limits your options significantly. :P

Kinda have to stick with what your carriers have for the most part unless you can switch plans over. That was part of why I did it too. Otherwise https://smile.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_p_36_7?rnid=14674871011&keywords=cdma+phone&fst=p90x%3A1&rh=n%3A2335752011%2Cn%3A7072561011%2Cn%3A2407749011%2Ck%3Acdma+phone&qid=1522737316&low-price=200&high-price=500

That should fit some of your criteria. Finding a new CDMA phone that isn't carrier locked was a challenge for me. It's either random crap without the latest android, cheap models, or too expensive models.

Speaking of that moto g5 plus recommendation from hui, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875209542&Tpk=N82E16875209542

It's having a sale right now. Also compatible with CDMA/GSM carriers so you can always switch with one. Pretty neat. :)

Would you reccomend the LG v20?

It's a cool phone. I don't know if it has the latest android but it was pretty premium about a year ago I think.

Yes it is. V20 is the best phone available if endurance is your thing. 3200mAh battery might not sound much but you can go from 0% to 100% under 5 seconds without having to carry a charger or power bank. Also if a battery goes bad you won't have to be phone-less while paying big $ to a specialist to have it surgically replaced. All that and a flagship chipset, expandable storage, robust type C port, and audiophile grade audio.

Yeah i might go with it tbh. Do you know how reliable sites like Swappa are by any chance?

Nope I can't use Swappa. I'm not in NA

Ah I see, I've seen others speak highly of the site and others who have had horrid customer service with the site.
