IS this really that bad a deal?

This deal is currently on mas drop and i've had a hard time deciding if it's really worth it. i've always been a mobile PC gamer but now that i have my own place i think it's time i built a PC and honestly this doesn't seem like the best deal but i cant find anything better. except one on newegg which was 24 dollars cheaper but i'm not feeling the ryzen vibe.

This is a good price because you get the card as well as a motherboard. However you will be waiting months for it since it is from massdrop

At current prices, it's pretty good. If you need to build now, jump on it. If you can wait a month or two, buy a used card when crypto burns.

It's decent. Not great, but not terrible. I think you're probably overpaying by about $200 but at least you're getting something.

Nope, you're better off with getting a 1070 ti or 1080 outright and buying a decent mobo than buying a crappy board and waiting months for massdrop to ship.

Then they'll move on to something else. The next coin. There's so many people doing it now compared to the last few times it dropped off. You have people who know nothing about computers building rigs to mine with.

Mining won't die. or burn out. it will just be dominated. Casual Miners will walk away and those who  have rigs that have passed  on RIO and are adding will still exist.

Yup. When card prices start being affordable again no one will bat an eye at miners until some currency hits its peak of a couple G's and everyone one is scrambling to ride that train.

Yup. Hopefully 20xx cards have great gaming performance but shit compute so no mining

Then they'll just move on to any number of alt currencies. As more people mine them, they'll gain value, and it'll repeat.
There are already tons of people mining them because they couldn't afford to get higher end cards, but still wanted to mine.

I think as long as there are easy currencies to mine, people will try to profit on them.
