Split the Mac and Linux sections apart

Aremis

I'm not sure how many people are linux users here, but I am.  I find it kind of annoying that they aren't separate spaces.  That and theres like 8 posts asking where the OSX dock settings are.

There's just not enough interest in either of them to split them apart.

Plus, they're both UNIX, so some solutions will apply to both of them.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Statistically I believe Linux has less marketshare than macOS does, but on this forum less people are likely to be interested in tech if they use macOS.

Either way you slice it, not enough people care about either on this forum to warrant a change. 2 dead sub-forums or one sub forum with medium activity levels.

Not entirely surprised as Linux is more for enthusiasts while Mac is way more user friendly.

They're both Unix-like. They are not UNIX. XNU (the kernel that mac OS runs on), is partially FreeBSD, partially Mach kernel, with a C++ API.

ENCRYPTION IS NOT A CRIME
