Pssssh. Over-rated. ... ... ... ... Nope, can’t do it. HAIL SCHIIT. HAIL HAIL. I love my little silver boxes. I jumped on the Modi Multibit bandwagon (no clue if it’s superior to older technology). I see you replaced your Vali’s glass tube tube with a solid state doohickey. Can you detect differences between glass & Lisst?

I'm using Tesla E88CC Gold Pins & a duck at the moment. I'm going to spend some time w/ the LSST tubes this weekend.

Good point.

I wonder if the positive reviews of the Massdrop HD6xx are causing Canadian prices for HD600 & HD650 cans to spike? In Toronto, if you can find them, they’ll set me back at least $550-650. Hopefully, another USA drop for the HD6xx will be released. Or, I grow a pair and try buying a used pair....

The 6XXs dropped again about 5 days ago, but sold out. HD650s run about $300 in the U.S.

$375 unless you trick amazon into price matching 600s.

I was going to go Multibit, but the price bump was like $200+. Wasn't going to sink that into something I wasn't sure did anything I could detect. I'm currently trying to avoid purchasing a Woo Audio setup. Or @Max_Settings $5K master plan, lol.

They are on a weird price hike right now. They’ve been $305 on Amazon for at least the last year and a half.

Ok, so these are the last ones for a long while. Fostex TH900 MkII.

Oh wait, I'm getting some SHP9500s, but only because they were like $20 and I wanted an cheaper set of cans to be able to recommend.

Currently I got a Beyerdynamic DT 990 250 Ohm, connected to my PC directly (no amp or similar).

been looking a bit into amps, but I don't think I have a need for it, because it's mostly used for YouTube.

A closed back pair seems nice as well, since I can't really use my current headphones around others and I would maybe like to record stuff with a microphone later.

Still using a HD 598SE I nabbed during a Black Friday sales for in home listening and PXC450 cans hooked to an Oppo portable dac/amp when traveling (really need to replace the pads on the cans though).

Toying with getting a dac and amp stack for my desk.  Hmmmmm.
