Safest CPU Temperatures

As the title says, what CPU temps are you comfortable with? Should the max CPU temp when overclocking be 80C?

Yeah, around 80C is my maximum temperature.

Ryzen CPU's are determined Safe by AMD under 94ºC

Intel CPU's (depending on architecture) are typically around 84ºC

someone correct me if these are innacurate

 

Personally I like to keep my 4790k around 70ºC

Depends on the space and cooling you work with. But using 80 degrees as a first threshold should be fine. Most will survive 90 but the cooler the better.

i would not be happy with 80c personally, but it is a safe temp. maybe not the best for long term use, but it's fine.

I max around 65 and still think it's high so really the lower the better but I geus under 80 is fine but I really wouldn't be happy about it

What CPU cooler do you have? My Ryzen 1600 never reaches 60C with my Cryorig H7 at minimum fan speed, although it isn't overclocked.

90C on prime 85C regular use (still rarely hits it)

3.95ghz at 1.4v 1700x hits 65/66 with prime/Aida 

70 with burn test but Iv never seen it actually hit 70

imho 80-85 is OK with an air cooler, with watercooling should be under 55
