Parents should parent, and adults should learn how to manage money. And quite frankly, this isn't predatory, games are not remotely essential to any aspect of life nor is there even remotely a monopoly.  There is ample opportunity to avoid this, especially when it's only cosmetic.

Thats not true. Predatory implies hunt, to seek out, and get the prey in your grasp. No one is forced to do anything in this world, but everyone has their weaknesses. And loot boxes target a certain kind of weakness to rope people the same way a predator does to their prey. Hence the term "predatory practice"

Well, it's kinda dependent on what metric you go by, in the legal system and society 18 is an adult, for drinking a minor is considered anyone under 21. I figured the legal and societal definition was a more proper definition in this case

As it may not be fine for single player games, I can tell you for a multiplayer experience loot boxes are a far superior thing than paid DLCs. You must not play many MP games, for the fact of a paid DLCs is splitting the community, making queue times longer, sometimes providing unfair advantages to those who get it. I, rather not deal with that fucking B.S..

I'm sorry but as much as you all bitch about loot boxes, the only time anyone even remotely makes enough of an uproar to do anything about it is when it effects gameplay. And removing lootboxes will do exactly that. I don't know how many people who bitch about them actually play MP games but if the whales who get addicted over cosmetics, likely the same people to already get addicted to gambling don't seek help then it is their problem. I'll note this also, the amount of people to have their lives ruined over loot boxes I don't personally think is as high as most people here seem to think it is. 

And I'll also note as I did earlier. Fuck. Paid. DLC. If they don't get revenue from boxes, they'll want it from somewhere else. And the fact that in a game like PUBG, OW, R6, Rocket League, entire maps, vehicles, heroes, operators ect could be taken away from me because I don't want to pay  $10-$30 for a DLC every few months can fuck right off.
