Switch to Ethereum or stay on zcash?

My rig is an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X and a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce. I'm currently pulling ~755 h/s on zcash. Should I be switching over to ether at this point, or is my hardware such that I should just stay on zcash and shapeshift over to ether if need be?

Looks like the best coin for you to mine is ZClassic.

 

Between Ethereum and ZCash, Ethereum would be a better option.

That would go from earning me about $190 a month, assuming zcash is a stable currency and not likely to implode and lose all value, to costing me about $35 per month.

You do know that it is a proven fact that if you were to invest your money DIRECTLY into the coins playing the stocks a bit INSTEAD OF buying mining HW, You make more money faster for the same amount of work... just saying.

I guess you do not foresee the bitcoin going away.  Some major countries are make moves to ban it.  All that electricity and computational power going down the drain.

Have you seen the energy consumed in the lifecycle of a bitcoin?  I have also noticed Digital Media over the years becomes obsolete.

Well, costing you $35 per month but doing the world a greater good. I would say that is quite worth it. I mean, unless we got some other world to live in then maybe we can just forget and don't bother about this world. But sadly, up to date this is the only world we can live in for now. :(

ffs guys, I'm not looking for a debate on the ethics of coin mining. I asked a question: stay on zcash or move to Ethereum? @TheKDub gave me a good answer, but I'm at least as much wondering if the current spike in Ethereum suggests that it's a better long-term coin than zcash. If all you've got is "fold all the things!", then I appreciate the service you're doing for mankind, but I'm happy in my blockchain-agnostic world and not really looking to convert to the church of F@H.

But you need miners otherwise the market wouldn't exist. I find mining to be better as once you have paid off your equipment it takes zero effort to make money and there are trade fees and the chance of loosing it all

The first, not so much now and the second, it may not rise enough to be profitable again. Though the North Koreans mining it may change that.
