Posted December 31, 2017 The last I heard of the Oculus rift, they weren't doing so well compared to the HTC Vive. But times have changed, as of now, what is the best VR headset so far. (I'm not asking in order to purchase one, I'm just curious.)

Posted December 31, 2017 The one that you like. Oculus is at an all-time low price. Vive is my choice, but I'll be getting the Rift soon. Posted December 31, 2017 IMHO Windows Mixed Reality. I have the Lenovo Explorer and its amazing in every way. Almost everything is superior to vive/rift or the same except for lcd screens but its comfortable as heck with no light bleed. I would go to a Microsoft store and try the different ones if ur by one, they have the rift oculus and all the mr headsets iirc.
 Posted December 31, 2017 Based on anecdotal evidence I'd say HTC vive. Or if you want a more mobile approach do that one Linus reviewed that didn't need external sensors
Posted December 31, 2017 I'f say the Vive's display is marginally better, but the Rift is a better package overall. Come Bloody Angel Break off your chains And look what I've found in the dirt. Posted December 31, 2017 Eh, I currently own both and the Vive I'd say is slightly better. Only because of the wireless lighthouses and longer stock cable and game support. The Rift is a lot more comfortable, has better controllers, and is a ton cheaper though. If you are just wanting to try it out the Rift package at $350 is incredibly hard to pass up. Comfort wise it goes to the Rift, flexibility and ease of setup goes to the Vive. Posted December 31, 2017 Having both Vive and oculus, Vive has more games, Oculus has better tracking (3+ cameras) and more comfortable controllers.
