How do I make Windows run at 144hz?

Go to solution Solved by JoostinOnline,

Go into the NVIDIA Control Panel and create a custom resolution with a refresh rate of 143hz or 145hz.

You buy a 144Hz monitor and set your GPU settings in the GPU control panel 144Hz.

My games run at 144hz. And when I go to that setting in Windows it just says "Generic PnP Monitor" and does not let it go faster than 60hz.

But then in NVIDIA control panel it says 144hz....

GPU drivers are up to date?
You might have some luck in uninstalling and reinstalling GPU drivers.
Oh and does it show as Generic PnP in the nvidia panel, or as GN246HL?

Up to date drivers, and its a fresh copy of Windows. Also in the NVIDIA Control panel it comes up as GN246HL. Not in Windows though....
