Would You Have Done The Same?

MPX309

So this guy called Meade, does car audio, he's really good at it, posts a build, and I asked about why he used AF fans on a rad? and he basically responded with the fact I'm nitpicking, and there's always someone who has something to say"

But surely it's a valid question most people would ask?

I would've done the same. I'd also question the blue ram.

Are those two pumps or is that one heck of an overkill for his mini loop? Nice build though, except for the few things mentioned above.

Edit: Also 1200W for a Single GPU setup, yaaaay, didn't see that in a while. Even if he ads a 2nd card.... what a waste.

who cares...

They are two individual pumps probably connected in series to the in the loop!

In regards to the PSU that's overkill.

I would just be happy with that build.

Life is pain. Anyone who says any different is either selling something or the government.

Nitpicking would be the ram colour, or not sleeving the pump cables, or not using straight runs etc.

The fan choice is a real question.

I'm an extreme noob to this field, but would'nt static pressure fans like the NF-F12s done better for him?

Either way, he won't listen.Leave the guy to fester with a silly idea.

Three GTX 780s in SLI.

When you look at his thread it actually makes sense and it's a really nice build. The fan choice is odd but it will work i guess. :D

Most of the build makes sense, large wattage power supply to support the 2 pumps and 3 graphics cards.

He has a decent size reservoir, 2 rads and nice cable management.

But the first picture indicates he has only 1 card so i see why people were questioning why he had

a triple card block, I question why the 2 pumps are literally one to one but I'm not a plumbing expert so

hopefully someone else explains this to me.

As for the fans I trust Linus on what he recommends most of the time because of how much experience he has.

Now with that being said I run noctuas so I don't have to much to really say here, I will mention its an odd assortment

of colours for such and expensive build.

CPU: AMD FX-8350 - Noctua NH-D14 | Asus Crosshair V Formula | 16GB Kingston HyperX | Plextor M5P Extreme 256GB SSD

GPU - Asus AMD Radeon 6950 Direct CU II 2GB |

Seasonic 1000 W Platinum | Cooler Master 690 ii Advanced | Asus VE248H + VE248Q

He might just like the way it looks and not care about the same shit you do. I kind of agree with him on this and think that most techies get too full of themselves thinking that things can only go a certain way and everything else is wrong. I for one prefer my pc to make some noise so I know it's on while I'm busy with something else. (I'm not just a gamer and my pc might be busy with important tasks and I need to fix it asap if smth goes wrong)

As for the color scheme, it looks like something a car junky would like, my friend for one would love this.

He's an idiot if he doesn't understand why you shouldn't put AIR FLOW fans on something where you need STATIC PRESSURE.
