Best HDMI for PS4 Low Laatency

BillyDoz

I'm looking to buy a new HDMI because I need something that is 10ft. Can someone please point me to a link for one that has the same specs needed for the PS4. I have a 1ms response gaming monitor and don't want a low quality hdmi to affect performance. Thank You.

I've used an holder HDMI that was longer and noticed a significant input lag.

Are you referring to a cable? As I said earlier, HDMI is not a physical thing. It’s a standard.

All HDMI cables should be the same...

Get a High Speed HDMI cable (for futureproofing), but any HDMI cable should be fine.

I've used 25ft cables from a surplus store and it's worked just fine.

The cable won't introduce input delay. If you have another cable around, try it, or a different device, but I'd be basically certain it's not the cable.

1ms response

Response times have nothing to do with input delay, just an FYI.

Digital doesn't work like analog. Either the signal gets there or it doesn't

Well, depends.

There are some artifacts that are due to bad connection, so its not entirely true.

As for inputlag, if youi really want the lowest you can get, you have to move the console as close to the monitor and use a short cable, @BillyDoz.

The longer the cable, the longer the lag because the speed isn't infinite...

But it shouldn't really be noticable.

It really won't matter, especially on PS4.

Yep, should hardly be noticeable at all.  I used short four foot to 15 foot cables.  From Monoprice cables to Monster cables, no difference among those cables.  So, just find a decent one that don't cost a silly high price.  Heck, I have a ten buck one hooked to my PS4 Pro I bought, does 4K HDR with no troubles.
