Gtx 1080ti Founders vs Zotac Mini

I just wanna know which one is more quiet. I know they both aren't silent cards but most reviews say the zotac mini is kinda loud whereas most FE buyers just seem to accept that a blower card is loud as well. But which one is less loud?

The founders card is less loud by a small margin. Why would you consider these two cards?

The zotac one is the cheapest right now by almost 50€. The blower one would be better for a mini itx build I am planning though. It's gonna run hot either way :P

the 1080 Ti FE really isn't that loud, people exaggerate this a lot.

they should try to listen to a stresstesting blower style 290X lol. now that is a loud card.

 

imo you should go for the founders edition if you can, as those cards will remain in high demand for watercooled builds, and are prone to keep the resale value.

I do have a FE I'm comfortable with its noise by all means, then again thing is such a beast that for my display it is usually only around 60ish % usage so it is dead silent but even when stressing it ain't bad, just put your volume up and you'll not even noticei t during a more extreme gaming session.

 

Zotac shouldn't be all too bad? The mini does have shitty VRM so overclocking is almost non existential, my EVGA FE runs at 2050mhz stable overclocked but run it at stock because as I said to my display it doesn't make a difference yet.

There are compromises in quality for the Zotac card.

There are some other 1080ti with reference PCB (so reference size) and blower coolers but not founders design. Might as well take a look at those and see if they are cheaper
