How many Bitwit Ultra subs are also LTT Floatplane subs?

When I've been loitering on the Bitwit Ultra page, I noticed that the majority of users have both the LTT Pilot and Bitwit Ultra badges and that got me wondering, how many of the BItwit Ultra subs are also subscribed to LTT Floatplane. I would imagine that it would be a very high percentage as we are on the LTT forum and I would imagine the crossover between the audiences would be quite large.

Would anybody be able to comment on this, I don't want to know exact numbers, just like '75% of Bitwit Ultra Subs are also LTT FP subs' or something like that.

Obviously, if you can't say for legal reasons or whatever then that's fine, I just think it would be quite an interesting statistic to know.

Unfortunately, I can't and won't subscribe until DRM is no longer on the table as a discussion topic. If I can't watch what I want, when I want, where I want, on the device of my choosing without an internet connection, I won't pay for it. Netflix almost has this covered, as although you need their proprietary app to watch content, most of it is indeed downloadable for offline watching, and the app is available on literally everything from Smartphones to SmartTVs to older iPad's no longer supported by Apple. I understand why DRM exists, but paying consumers should never be the ones restricted by the technical limitations put in place to protect content they've already paid a license to watch.

Floatplane currently has no DRM and Bitwit said in his reveal video that Floatplane will be DRM free.

As yolosnail said, you can download the video files and they allow you in the ToS to stream them from a personal server, you're not allowed to distribute it though.

Oh good - I thought they were still talking about the possibility of DRM in a prior video just a few weeks ago. Do we know if videos will be downloadable from the service through regular means? Obviously distribution is not part of the license because something  piracy something legal. Content creators deserve to be paid for their work regardless; I'm just curious as I usually convert videos into a preferred format for watching on various devices.

Yeah, I don't know either. I think it would be a huge bandwidth hog if they get lots of subscribers once the site version goes live.
