Radeon HD 7970/7950 Series, Good Time To Sell.

YellowDragon

Might pop my 7950 on my local auction site, there is only one being sold at this current moment in time and it's a sapphire 7950 vapour-x , with one of the fans not working, and it's at $NZD325 at the moment.

#!

Just got $370 for my Sapphire Dual-X 7950.

Looks like the Sapphires sell for more than the rest.

I have a MSI Twin Frozer 3 7950 card that I paid $340. Are you guys selling the cards in the States/international on eBay? Is there a chance for me to sell my card if I'm from Canada?

If you live in Canada you might as well count yourself in the states. I sold all of mine within the US and even restricted the listing to US only and they all still went within 24hrs

I've seen bids go for $500 plus.

I had 4 total 7970 cards that I sold heres what I got for each one

Powercolor 7970: $380

Powercolor 7970: $396

Powercolor 7970: $405

Visontek 7970: $435

With the whole litecoin/ bitcoin craze I got more then new market value for them. If you look at the sold listings on ebay no 7970 used has gone for less then $300 in the past few weeks

I have a Sapphire 7970 OC with boost, how much do you think?

Start the bid at $380. Put it for 3 days. Worst case scenario 1 person bids and you get $380 but considering i just sold my Gigabyte 7950 3GB for $400 i don't see that happening..

95 C is far to hot for me especially since Im planning on shoving a high end card in an itx enclosure. So I could use a cooler running blower style card

Remeber there is still the exact same amount of heat being outputted by the 780ti at the 290, There would be no temperature difference inside the case between the two.

The 780ti cooler is far more capable then the 290 cooler, in a tight case your ambient goes up, you would have to compensate with higher fan speeds, the case im using has only 1 intake and no out so that is a  factor. When the 290 is happened by its own cooler on an open test bench then there is no way its going to survive in a tiny case. 780ti is quieter and is more powerful, so i dont mind paying the green team tax this time around

$430 easy

Does ebay really take a whole 10% of profit? I wanted to take the money from this and add a little to maybe get a  290 or 780.

auction starting at 299 for 7 days (although it only started to pick up on the last day). I'd recommend setting a higher starting bid; I was way to nervous it was going to go for only 300.

yes ebay takes the 10% , thats the cost of reaching a large audience, with my 4 7970s that i sold I lost about $190 in fees. It sucks but I would not be able to sell them locally as it seems that building your own PC is seen like a black art in Erie PA.
