Bad case fans or bad case?

So I was testing the noise level of my PC compared to my brothers.

 

About 1 inch away; my PC is around 50DB, but my brothers is like 30DB.

 

Are my case fans bad or is it possible to have a bad case design so that it doesn't insulate noise well? 

 

NOTE: IT WAS JUST AS LOUD BEFORE I ADDED MY CORSAIR 100i V2!

 

FANS: 3x Arctic F12, Stock Corsair 100iv2

CASE: Aerocool Aero 500

Unless there is a rattling sound (which would mean the bearing has gone), chances are the case just isn't too good as it does seem more like a budget option

Corsair fans are it. I have a H110i and they sound like jets. Maybe fine different fans for your radiator

Nope, it was way loud even before I purchased my 100i.

the corsair fans are what you blame here, they are pretty shit

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

well they sure as hell wont help seeing as they sound like a jet. id blame the fans then

I'd turn the fans off and then slowly ramp them up to a comfortable noise level.

2 intake, and 3 exhaust. I can't change the speed of my Arctic F12 as they are only 3 pin, and no matter the bios setting they are always 100%

Do you have your fans set up with a nice power curve responding to temps,

Change those fans then since they're the most likely culprit.

Try with Speedfan. Its hard to setup, but works wonders with 3pins.

Well it looks like your MB has fan headers specifically designated as either 3-pin or 4-pin.

Unlike newer MBs yours may not be able to adjust the speed of a 3-pin fan plugged into a 4-pin socket.

It looks like CPU Fan and SYS Fan-1 are designated 4-pin and SYS Fan-2 and PWR Fan are 3 pin.

Not sure what PWR Fan means as opposed to SYS Fan.

So I would try the 3-pin fans in SYS Fan-2 and PWR Fan to see if the speed can be controlled there.
