How to save $150 on the new Optane 900P SSD

HansGruber

As some of you already know the recent flag ship SSD by Intel was released in partnership with CIG the gaming company that creates the (in)famous Star Citizen. This game is funded by selling virtual space ships, which have a very high price tag and are regularly sold on ebay.

The new Optane SSD includes one of these, which can only be purchased together with the SSD. Since the Star Citizen fan base is rather crazy when it comes to these space ships, a similar ship is sold for around $150 on the CIG website. This presents us with the unique opportunity to buy a very fast SSD, and sell the code for the ship that is included in the box on ebay for approx $150.

So, when you buy the SSD, make sure to not throw away the code... it is basically a $150 discount in disguise!!

Or don't buy an optane...

It's not the crappy "cache" optane drives, this is the real full SSD.
