Dell laptop not booting from tails usb due to security policy

As the title says, my laptop will not boot from my Tails USB because of security policies. Either they're trying to be funny, just proper stupid. Anybody find a way to fix this, or even have this problem? I boot from linux all the time now, but my laptop for some reason does not like Tails... These people don't make it easy do they.

What security policy errors are you getting?

Join the Appleitionist cause! See spoiler below for answers to common questions that shouldn't be common!

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

You have to disable Secure Boot from within the BIOS. Manufacturers have this enabled by default to prevent any unsigned software to boot. This is primarily used to combat rootkits or malware that messes with the bootloader, but it does get in the way when you're trying to install an OS.

Fedora and mint boot with secure boot on, that's what confuses me.

That's because they have the necessary certificate included in the OS. A few of the larger Linux distributions distro's work with secure boot. Just disable it and tails will work fine.

System specs:

4790k

GTX 1050

16GB DDR3

Samsung evo SSD

a few HDD's

Yes, I have it working now. I just cannot find my encrypted data from persistent storage.
