Dear linustechtips community,
Couple days i ago i just got my 1080TI.Currently i playing 1080p and i know its overkill for that but couple months later i gonna play 2k or 4k.So before that i just play 1080p without any high priorty or severity problems. Also i test my peformance on 3d mark unfortunately my  actual results its not match with expected results. Its lower then i expected. My system spec is :

  • Cpu: Intel i7 4790k
  • Mainboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H Ultra
  • Graphic Card: MSI GTX 1080 TI
  • Ram: 8gb Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600Mhz
  • Cpu Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62
  • Monitor: Asus VG248QE 24” 1ms 144Hz 1080P
  • Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Please attach a screenshot.

Also, have you tried running Cinebench or other CPU benchmarks and comparing them with scores online?

If your CPU consistently scores worse than online scores in many benchmarks then perhaps something might be wrong.

Sidenote: I find it quite humorous that you have a GTX 1080Ti and yet you don't have an SSD or even 16GB RAM.

How is it "lower than expected"?

The best in the world got a GPU score of ~38K with most likely LN2 cooling and you get one of 30K out of the box with stock cooling. That's pretty damn good.

Bruh, it's not even over 90,000!!

@xZer0 30K is great. Nothing to see here. You should probably upgrade to an SSD and 16GB RAM if you want Windows to run faster but otherwise you're fine.

That's average for a 4790K + 1080 Ti. Nothing wrong.

Scores can vary especially if they're hot and cold runs.

other people have 22k :/

But they are probably using a 6950X or a 7900X. FireStrike likes more cores ;)

Are those people overclocking?

Are you overclocking?

Are their specs the same as yours?

Same System...!

Take a look at the number of cards, they are using 2 1080 Tis, not one :P

EDIT: Some systems can get these scores with a single GPU, but these PCs are heavily overclocked:

Die Gesamtpunktzahl ist stark abhängig von der CPU so ignorieren sie.

Sie haben fast 30k Grafik-Score, die gut für Nicht-OC 1080 ti ist.

Wenn du OC deine Karte hast, solltest du ungefähr 32k-33k treffen.

this score was with OC, with the MSI Program OC-mod

Your OC is poor.

You have VRAM at stock clocks (11,016MHz)

The reported core clock is wrong so not sure about that.

This is mine with 12,424MHz VRAM and 2,038MHz core (i7 4770k 4.5GHz)

OC GPU?

I see you have only 8GB of RAM at 1600MHz... OC your RAM as well, that's why you have low physics score.

I was able to hit 2200MHz CL10 with my old Crucial Ballistix kit so give it a try.
