couple of months ago i posted about how i was going to make a gaming pod ( for playing my pc , xbox and that in) for my GCSE product design project, and loads of you guys kindly replied and gave your views.

In addition you guys wanted me to post my progress of how i made it so here are a couple of photos of were abouts i am up to atm in the manufacturing stages

 

Since some of you have asked for it i ahve made a build Log ( in the build log section of my progress so you cna keep up to date with it all and share any thoughts)

Ahha - well if you look at the CAD image i just uploaded it may help but basically you sit in the back and then a Monitor will go on the top of the curved bit and you wil be able to sit in there and game

i have actually just been out tonight and purchased 50ml  thick of memory foam will will be go throughout the whole of the inside ( apart from top section ) and i will covr it in a leather alternative plus i will be making a head rest / extra cushion for the head

How is the distance between between your eyes and the monitors, it seems a bit to close for my liking. HOwever if you are comfortable, it looks amazing! Can't wait to see the final product.

Are you going to be updating this continuously with progress? Cause I know a lot of people would love that.

That's pretty awesome, especially for a GCSE project! At my school, they only offer "Electronic Products" in the way of DT, and most of the projects are games (like steady hand don't touch the wire type things) and money boxes.

yeh since i was able to source majority of the materials from outside school they allowed me to do it . other wise they would of never allowed me too

If you somehow integrate the computer parts as an attachment to this pod, then I think it can officially qualify as a Build of the Week!
