well, if you wanted MAX overclocking with extremely cold parts, it there anything that wouldn't work with putting a pc in a freezer, while using it? As far as i can see air cooling with it being in a freezer would be better then any water cooling. Actually i have a really old pc, and a freezer from a reno... imma try it xD, ill post some pics :)

It will cause condensation to produce on your parts and it will break them.

Condensation will form water droplets in and on everything, causing catastrophic failure.

ever notice how, when you leave something in a freezer there is ice on top of it? Like on top of the ice cream bucket or on vegetables. Especially if you leave it in for a longer time. This will cause your PC to short out. I mean, if you have an old PC and nothing to do with it, go ahead and try it but the heat output will also destroy the freezer. Those things are not meant to be given hot things (or warm air over a continuous amount of time). If you leave a Fridge door open, the Fridge will eventually (after about 30 Minutes) start to heat up instead of cooling the inside because it's running hot trying to cool.

Well,you can do this:

Water cool, have the reservoir in fridge, all plastic tubing, have plastic shield around CPU.

Water cool, have radiator in fridge, reservoir far from system, all plastic tubing, plastic shield.

Water cool, have copper tubing in fridge, plastic tubing outside fridge, plastic shield,no radiator.

Water cool, toilet tank as reservoir,no fridge involved, regular flush recommended, plastic tubing towards system, copper tubing towards toilet.

Water cool,bucket as reservoir,full of ice,no fridge involved,no radiator,plastic tubing and shield.

Water cool, swimming pool (private) as reservoir,no fridge involved,no radiator,no shield, any tube will do.

Water cool,pond (private) as reservoir,no fridge,no rad,no shield,any tube(preferably copper/plastic to reduce corrosion).

Water cool, have very, very long and thin copper pipes in pond (private),no fridge,no rad,no shield, any tubing.

Some are crazy ideas but they do work.

This guy made my day. But in all seriousness popping your rad into a fridge or freezer would be "cool" ( see what i did thar)

So I was chatting with my cousin and we were comparing rigs. When I told him about the NZXT Kraken water cooling block I was planning to put on my R9 290 he mentioned a new method of cooling that he described as basically "putting a fridge in your case."

Does anyone else know about this? He mentioned that it's a new thing but from what I understand it's pretty much a radiator that you put in your case that is completely silent and cools the entire case insides.

So your next build could have no fans or openings in the case and just have a sub zero radiator? Seems Legit right? I would consider giving it a try.

No, because the heat will create condensation.

I think there could be a way around that...

sub zero cooling is achieved with a phase change cooler, which works the same as a fridge

its big, and will not fit in a case

it uses a compressor, which is louder than most pumps or fans

and it is not cheap, at least several hundred $$$ for a simple unit

you would need to use a test bench or a case with no side panel to fit the large diameter anti-condensation tube through to the cpu

and this will not cool graphics cards

so unless you are doing extreme N2 overclocking and are very experienced, use a AiO cooler or build your own loop

Not planning on doing anything like this anytime soon but I think it would be cool or at least interesting to see it working and the systems benchmarks.
