You need to use slots A2 and B2

I have corsair RAM as well, this issue seems weird.

Ryzen is sometimes doing cartwheels on W7

Upgrade to W10

Well, it took you a while. Can't really help further, maybe try borrowing another mobo from a mate or try those ram on a friend's pc or refund and buy another mobo.

Tonight, I was actually packing the motherboard for return, then I re-seated my processor, and re-installed my memory sticks. Suddenly, POOF and the BIOS showed 16384MB installed. I think that it was because of one pin or more pins actually not seated well. This is AMD boyzzz....:D:D

Hello, I built a PC today using ASUS B350F Strix, Ryzen 5 1600 and Corsair Vengeance LED (2x8) CMU16GX4M2C3000C15.

I opened my BIOS menu and saw that PC recognizes just 8GB of RAM but it shows the two eight gigabyte sticks at the memory slots. Then I installed Windows 10 and saw that Windows recognizes the 16GB of RAM but only half of it is usable.

Please help.

now put them both back in their respective slots based on where the manual says to put a 2 stick configuration.

if that doesn't work , then purposely put them in the wrong slots and see if it will at least give you an error or if the ram will show up.

I checked I'm going to try a different configuration for two slots that I wasn't able to try because of my Wraith Spire blocking the dimm slots.

well you weren't kidding thats one strange problem , task manager says 16gb at the top , then shows 8 as being use able. hmm

if both sticks work separately , and you are 100% sure they are in the correct slots , and you have tried every possible slot combination including the exact opposite slots , then there might be some sort of issue with the board or the bios.

That's weird, Task Manager says 8.1GB is 'hardware reserved'... dafuq?

I don't think so maybe because I got unsupported Ryzen memory?

Also I found other people who had this issue on Reddit.

Okay I will flash the BIOS now but I never saw anything about memory at the descriptions though.
