I can't post in the classifieds?

Okay, so i don't post very often (this whole forum thing is very new to me) but i wanted to post a classified for something i wanted to buy and im not given the option to start a new topic. I read the rules and it says that you can't unless you've made at least 100 posts on the forums and I was just wondering if this was a direct correlation. If so I'll look elsewhere. Thanks in advance guys

Why does it have to be 800mhz? Just buy any DDR3.

 

As long as it's the right size -- SO-DIMM/Dimm and is the right kind of ECC/not, then any DDR3 will work.

I don't think DDR3 can run at 800mhz

The motherboard I have (for a sub 100$ budget build im working on for my brother) only supports pc3-6400 ram

Any DDR3 will work, it just won't run any faster.

This thing hasnt wanted to boot with any of my 1600mhz sticks and according to the manual this is all it supports

Its a 775 motherboard that came with a core2duo I plan on upgrading to a q6600

did you read the mobo manual and check if it uses ddr2 or ddr3?

I'm positive its ddr3, I've put in ddr3 sticks already and ddr2 isnt even physically compatible due to the notch

Okay, so long story short; and also to get you guys some more information: Any time i try to boot the pc I get a constant beep and no post. I've heard that that could be one of three things:

 

1) a power supply issue.  Ive tried 3 seperate PSU's

2) Video Card error     3 video cards, one of which doesnt require external power

3) Memory Error.       this is the last one i havent tried. Ive tried afew different brands of ddr3 but theyre all 1600mhz. 

 

I have been unable to get any kind of post so this ram thing is my last shot

1. Like said, OT posts don't count. 2. Trolling and other types of farming for 100 will get banned and/or posts removed very quickly.

Which mobo this is? I think 1066 is lowest DDR3 clock speed. And finding those will mean looking at really old hardware, probably recycling centers and like since 1600MHz is more popular.
