Just because you can!

Go to solution Solved by Hiitchy,

If you have a theme then that's usually where people will look. I was going to buy an LED strip but the specific color of purple I'm looking for is so hard to come by and I've exhausted all leads.

I've come to the conclusion that I Don't need it unless it does something good for my build that doesn't include aesthetics.

Not for me. No disposable income and can't legally get a job.

if its not functional I'm not buying

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

I don't normally purchase things based on whether or not it'll look right, but my InWin 303 was definitely a "this looks good" purchase. I ended up regretting it because functionality-wise it is a dud.

Still looks good though.

All of my mods/builds have been purely for function. Couldn't care less about how they look. I'm rather OCD about cable management, but that's for improved air flow. I use my computers, I don't sit around staring at them. I do appreciate the artistic mods that really are works of art, but as I said ... I build mine purely for function.

Best Excuses:

#1(simple) "Well, I never liked that stupid thing anyway!"

#2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."

Yeah I bought a couple UV CCTs and they look pretty cool. Attached them to the back of my case, now it's like a space rocket.

I cant justify buying something for my pc just so it looks good or flashy, hell i could barely afford my rig in the 1st place. all bought on an extremely tight budget and it still needs more things to make it more productive, but alas my motherboard choice has left me at a dead end.

I already have basically the best chip it can handle and its still not enough for what i need it for, plus the idea of buying upgrades just makes me weep as everything is so damned expensive :(

That'd be my Cooler Master Eclipse, a unique and rather odd cooler. All it needs now is to have the heatpipes soldered to the base and a proper LGA1150 mount devised (I currently have 2 screws removed from it and the brackets set askew so it fits).

At first I thought I had one, but I just can't think of anything.

I mean, I have RGB RAM, but that's because Microcenter didn't have any non-RGB 16GB kits of Trident Z when I bought my other parts.

no.

I buy for function, not for form.

This is why my computer looks like a NAS with a rats nest of wires full of various PCIe expansion cards and SSDs I have found from the scrapyard.

I did not need my computer lit up like a Christmas tree full of RGB LEDs and other gaudy, flashy add-ons that do nothing for performance.

My computer is in a fractal define R5 case under my desk where nobody will see it. It sits there quietly being productive, rather then blinding me from the LEDs.

No, I do not care about how it looks. If I did, I would buy a mac.
