'Cheap' GTX 1060 now, or wait for RX 580

jeffery7466

Lemme keep this short.

I have a 1080 75fps freesync monitor, and wanted to get the RX 580 when the prices come back down.

I found an exdisplay Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB for £269.

What would you do in my position? 1060 now or wait for the RX 580.

Everyone on here be showing off their rigs, so here I go:

i personally dont care for freesync or gsync at the moment - ive been gaming with screen-tearing for decades

you can still game with a gtx 1060 at 75hz with screen tearing

i have a G1 Gaming GTX 1060 and its working like a dream

580 if you keep your GPU for a few years (3-5+) and want freesync

1060 6g if its a filler until volta or something, or you'll upgrade soon

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
