I hope I win! This piece of out dated lard can hardly do what i need it to. I dont see how you can stream games at 1080 with good settings on a dual core! Good luck to everyone else!

You could have given it to me!

For me it was one of the worst! It was the one that made all the tech companies go 'hmmmm translucent plastic, that's niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice' when actually pretty much every product made with it looked trash in my eyes (yes including the Mac). Don't get me wrong, I loved the OS but hated the machine design and a gawd awful 'mouse' that came with it! :D

Yeah. It was a revolutionary computer, like I said, but the translucent plastic style hasn't held up well over the years....

It is my actual PC. I've had it since I was your age. One of the first ones I built.

Medieval man here.  Why I am known as Medieval man?  Because my computer is so old and useless I want to drive a sword straight through it!

The last gaming tower I built was in 2000, but as it desperately needed an
upgrade I bought this laptop in roughly 2009. Unfortunately in the transition
Windows 7 broke most of my games due to compatibility issues. The devistation
deterred me from pc gaming for a long time, and I miss it terribly. Currently I
cannot play any games on this wreck...in fact I cannot even get on Steam as of
this week.

This arcane beast is an HP G62 Notebook with an AMD Turion II P540
Dual-Core 2.4 GHz processor and a measly 3GB of DDR3 RAM.  I used to be able to journey the stars in StarCraft... if I could get past the color problems from my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250.  At least I have a decent bit of storage in this paperweight in a WD 500GB HDD which I don't even know the color of.

My browser weeps at trying to gather these Cinebench R15 scores:  OpenGL at 1.25 fps and CPU at a paltry 114 cb.   That's not a typo I swear it.  Please help bring me out of the dark ages.

Specs: Intel core 2 duo e8400, Radeon 7450 (dell), 4 GB DDR2 667MHz, 250 GB WD black.

Story behind this pc. I had a dell optiplex 960 (core 2 duo) with a graphics card (HD 7450) given to me 5 months ago. Everything was going great with my pc until it started shutting off randomly. It turned out that the first ram slot was fried. I didn't have a pc for about a week, until I was given one by a friend. (I will call him rick.) So, the pc that rick gave me stunk for gaming, I couldn't even play minecraft. I had the idea that I should take the cpu and gpu from the dell and put it in to rick's pc. That is to now. I need to go buy some thermal paste for the cpu and get back up and running. until then, I am using my hp laptop with a 1st gen core i5 520, and an nvidia g105m.

#ROGRigReboot Entry!

I have a old Acer Predator G7200 PC which was bought off of eBay for cheap, it's performance isn't the greatest. I did a full video explaining here:

(Video has been rendered at 1:00 but YouTube sets it to 1:01)

And I wish the best of luck to everyone! #LinusDropTips #ROGRigReboot

Thanks!

You could go to the public library and use one of their computers for a second to put the OS on a stick drive...
