Posted July 27, 2017 Ryzen is bettter, but if all one's ever gonna do is game, quad-core with as high a speed as possible is the way to go. And Intel is just better optimized at this point. Posted July 27, 2017 That best one is Ryzen 5 1600, although if you get overclocking off your mind you could go i7 7700 + b250 then that would be better. The 1600 has made alot of gains recently and has better minimums so I'd say it is a better gaming experience. If you looked at some of the hardware unboxes video comparing the new Intel i7 6 core and the r5 1600 they also compare it to the 7700k and it isn't all that far behind. I'd say it's probably on par to the 7600k and has better minimums
Posted July 27, 2017 a good, fast RAM kit for Ryzen is in order. normally you can look up the QVL for the motherboards you're interested in and find kits that are tested at 2933mhz or better with c16 or lower. you can also hunt for 3200mhz c14 kits
 Do you need 3200mhz? Because i just used 2500$ on a new computer with r7 1700 and 3000mhz ram
