How long does Windows take to install

no, the better question is why would you choose that kind of scheme? why not format the entire drive as a C: and install Windows on that 500GB partition?

Ok I wasn't too sure what to do I thought I was doing the right thingto do

Just install Windows and your programs on one of the 500GB drives and leave the other 500GB drive for mass storage. No need to do any crazy partition schemes.

Ok I didn't know what I had to do

Okay... so far so good. now install Windows onto Partition 4.
