is there a commercially available heavy lifting drone?

Legolessed

my friend is loooking for a drone that could nlift around 40 pounds. price is not an object and the control range doesn't have to be super far but it has to be able to carry 40 pounds. Also it has to have fpv on it. The price tag can be quite large as right now they are using a helicopter for this task and they want something with lower costs to fly and to be able to fly it remotely.

What are they trying to lift? I know there's some agricultural drones than can lift 20+ pounds.

Are you SURE price isnt' an object? Because to lift 40 pounds, you are probably going to be dropping like $10k for all the equipment you'd need. The DJI Spreadingwings 1000 can do 11kg (22~ pounds), but you'll be better off building your own. Still expensive as hell to do it properly. 12s is your friend, or two of these guys per flight http://www.getfpv.com/batteries/commercial-consumer-batteries/tattu-26000mah-22-2v-25c-6s1p-lipo-battery-pack.html. At this point, just get a forklift or a pickup truck.
