At that res AMOLED is very good, but at 1080p, especially with the pentile pixel sub structure, it kinda falls apart. 

 

AMOLED/OLED displays do have some great benefits, like true blacks and better power efficiency, but also some serious draw backs like burn in. I wouldn't mind Apple adding it to the next iPhone.

not true anymore, with some software tricks, that problem is eliminated, LCD can also have that issue

Software is software, it's still a larger problem than on LCDs and the software tweaks kinda admit that the hardware is susceptible to burn in still.  

 

And yes LCDs can burn it, but only if they are displaying the same image for hundreds of hours. The only LCD IK've personally seen that had burn in was an old 2010 iMac whose owner basically never turned it off.
