Future free Windows? Video inside

I presume that to be the reason your name is DrMacintosh.

Mac OS is very secure, and with the built in programs, it runs very well. However due to hardware limitations many claim to see performance hampered in comparison to custom built macs, and windows based PCs.

Bringing hardware into a discussion about software is justified in my opinion when the only intended way to utilize the software is based off a closed hardware system.

Most of that is not Microsoft's fault, but the fault of the OEMs.

Yes vanilla Windows 10 comes with things I don't need or want, but then again no OS has been a truly out of the box usable for me (and I dare say anyone else)

Although Lubuntu has come close if I excluded games.

Mostly same. I can use most operating systems as they come, 'out of box,' but I cannot use them as they come for any period of time beyond a weekend of testing/playing around with them.

You have a valid point, but come on, a vanilla Windows install puts Candy Crush on your PC!

And I'm not sure how you use your computer but MacOS was almost perfect out of the box. Windows on the other hand was a whole other bundle of fun!

When I had my Mac Mini, I replaced the browser immediately, found myself another text editor, put VLC on there, downloaded Adium (or whatever that multi-paradigm IM app is called), and had to find a roundabout way to get a node.js environment up. And if I was going to listen to music I would've found an alternative to iTunes.

Otherwise yes, it worked out pretty well.

Also I don't see how preinstalling Candy Crush is any different than the dozen games that used to come with Windows. At least you can uninstall it easily.

I didn't even have my mac mini long enough to get to the second change you did.

The problem is that Apple charges you out the sphincter for the privilege of getting a debloated os from the start.

Fanboys are the worst thing to happen to the tech community World. Chief among them are Apple fanboys.
