I'm really hoping that these are binned hard enough to oc well, otherwise it looks like we might be reverting back to pre-pascal laptop performance nerf.

Dunno why there's a hard power limit (CPU) while in games. Plenty of thermal headroom for CPU (for a thin and light)

He retested that laptop

Clevo software+firmware mess things up again...

Anyway, the thermal performance surprises me a bit

EVOC High Performance Systems PB51EF-G! Oh WOW!

My comments:

Highlights of this model:

x2 USB C (one TB3)+x2 M.2 slots

Removable battery

GSYNC with MUX switch (can enable Optimus)

Glass touchpad+fingerprint reader

Support OCed RAM (max is 3200MHz if remembered correctly)

Quite affordable for a 2070P laptop

Build quality is good. Cooling is good, but it has airflow problem due to short rubber feets. Due to 2 shared heatpipes, the GPU can run a bit hot in games (~80C) but keep in mind that this is with the CPU pulling 50-55W of power. With undervolt, this model runs cool for a 15 inch 2070P laptop. Yes it has liquid metal applied but Clevo stock paste usually has OK quality. The only cooling related issue I can think about is heatsink issue - uneven core temps (well-known Clevo issue).

@sicily428 BTW I've posted review of P960ED and P970ED, you can check it out in my sig below
