worth going from 4790k to ryzen 1600?

i do mainly game, but i would like to stream off the same pc, and although the 4790k is a great cpu, i think those extra cores would help out a lot, and considering the prices 4790k's still go for, do you think it would be worthy of an upgrade?

That chip is fine, id keep the i7, for streaming, you can use gpu encoding, so the cpu won't be used at all.

i think i may aswell wait another couple of gens then havent i, i mean intel is piss*ng me off with there sub 10-15% increases.

Not worth the cost or time.

You can blame AMD for refreshing their old line-up three or four times. Ryzen is changing things, but they need to keep going strong for the market's sake.

More like Ryzen was the cpu we could have used a year or so ago...

The volta architecture?

I may get what you are aiming for... Ryzen.

No Intel can live up to it's capabilities while gaming and streaming at the same time, at the same price range.

The best bang for buck you can find is a 1700 with overclock. Make sure you pick a bug free motherboard and some QVL ram sticks (as fast as possible) that go with it. Pick a fine CPU heatsink or AIO and the rest is ezpz.
