Why are you calling me dumb and try using a IGPU for over a year and get less than 30fps on LOW

Take it from who is coming from... I mean, we even have claims like:

the 5020u is better than a 6350...

in this thread...

I suggest you ignore the trolling and focus on your original quest: is it CAD 240 for CPU, or for CPU+motherboard?

Regarding your original question, I wouldn't buy a new FX these days, I'd rather extract all the possible value by going used. So in this context I would say go used 6350 rather than new 4300.

1) You said 5020U vs 6350. You didn't even get 1 CPU right this time.

2) 6100U is still worse than 6350

3) Quit derailing, quit trolling

have a nice life!

If you already have an AM3 or AM3+ motherboard and you're slumming it, check to see if the bios supports some form of core unlocking, then just go on ebay and buy a used 960T for $45.

Put one in the machine I built for my friend with my old M4A88T-m, along with the 8 gigs of DDR3 I had on a shelf, and my old R9 270x.  CPU unlocked from a 3GHz quad core to a 3GHz 6 core with an unlocked multiplier.  It's actually a pretty great gaming machine, especially since it's basically the same as the computer I ran up until 2 years ago.

In general I wouldn't recommend grabbing an FX with less than 8 cores unless you're getting it for stupidly cheap.

SFF-ish:  Ryzen 5 1600X, Asrock AB350M Pro4, 16GB Corsair LPX 3200, Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro -75mV, 512gb Plextor Nvme m.2, 512gb Sandisk SATA m.2, Cryorig H7, stuffed into an Inwin 301 with rgb front panel mod.  LG27UD58.

Aging Workhorse:  Phenom II X6 1090T Black (4GHz #Yolo), 16GB Corsair XMS 1333, RX 470 Red Devil 4gb (Sold for $330 to Cryptominers), HD6850 1gb, Hilariously overkill Asus Crosshair V, 240gb Sandisk SSD Plus, 4TB's worth of mechanical drives, and a bunch of water/glycol.  Coming soon:  Bykski CPU block, whatever cheap Polaris 10 GPU I can get once miners start unloading them.

MintyFreshMedia:  Thinkserver TS130 with i3-3220, 4gb ecc ram, 120GB Toshiba/OCZ SSD booting Linux Mint XFCE, 2TB Hitachi Ultrastar.  In Progress:  3D printed drive mounts, 4 2TB ultrastars in RAID 5.

The motherboard I have is old the complete system was built in 2011 but since I found a semi decent deal on a i7 2600 it has more performance for the same price
