Geforce Experience

Osmium

How do you all feel about Geforce Experience? Just as an overview I mean, the driver updates, the game optimization, shadowplay etc. I just want to see what other people think.

Personally I love the driver updates, I don't really care about shadowplay, and I can't stand the optimizer. Although I might be different than most since I prefer high framerates over eye candy and geforce experience on most of my games just says "Ultra, Ultra, Ultra, Ultra, Ultra, 2xMSAA, AO on" even though I am running a bloody 660ti.

I like it. It keeps most of the drivers nicely updated but I wish you could apply the optimization option to more games though. It would be nice if a community did modifications to apply for more games such as non-Steam games/non-Origin games.

i find it to be excellent, but that is mainly because I am a Nvidia fanboy and running a 780 so yeah...

i could not have cared any less about Shadowplay though since I do not record...

I don't use it because I know what settings I can run better than it does.

I like it, I like the fact that it automatically updates drivers and stuff.

As far as optimization I use it only as an indication of what the game should be running like.

I'm the one who overclocks.

If the program would let you set a target frame rate I would use it a lot more but to me it looks like it definitely prefers pretty over smooth. It might be better on 700 series cards I don't know.

GFE always tries to make my games run at lower settings than are required. It doesn't take into account that while a normal 660 Ti's clock speed is 915/980B my 660 Ti's default clocks are 1046/1124B and they run at 1215 when I don't overclock and 1280 when I do.

Oh I also hate how it won't work with games that aren't on my ssd. I have a 256gb ssd, I don't have space for all them games.

I'm getting a 770 soon and it will prob try to run on medium.

You have to tell if where to search for games, it doesn't automatically search every drive.

Go to preferences, click games and add the directory for your other games to locations.

I don't use it. I really don't need the latest drivers, and I care little for the majority of the products that nvidia offers.

Compatible with Windows 95

I like it a lot. It's a good centralized place for all the features your GPU has. And I love the automatic notification when your drivers are out of date.

for those that don't want to/don't care to/don't know how to tinker with settings to get that 1-2FPS boost it does a great deal. For average user it is really good. For the more experienced user it is still useful to get a base that you can tinker further from.

I satisfyingly uncheck it when downloading new drivers.

I can definitely see the use for it though.
