  1. All we need now is for Corsair to aquire Discord to reduce the number of icons in my systray.
  2. Been waiting for Asus to release that since CES in Jan 2017....c'mon Asus..and in the meantime release the 65inch pg65 while ur at it!!! I want both!
  3. Hi all! Im putting together a new build (not the current one in my Sig below). The motherboard is the z270 mis mpower titanium which has a raised shield over the I/O. I have a 280mm rad (kraken x62) and 2x 120mm rads on the end of gpus. Let me start by saying I don't need a critique. I'd like to know what case would fit these rads, considering clearance for the rads. I was thinking the nzxt s340 elite, enthoo evolv or in win 909. Thanks!
  4. Aha! Just found the answer to my question. You can add a drive as a separate VOLUME. This allows you use it as a scratch drive to move files over with http://www.patnotebook.com/adding-a-new-disk-as-a-new-volume-in-synology/
  5. Hi all! I have a Synology 215j 2-bay NAS with a 4tb drive inside. It works fine and I want to move it to another PC and put a new 8tb drive inside the NAS instead. I want to keep the data from the 4tb drive and move it to the 8tb drive. Only problem is the 4tb drive is set as a Synology hybrid raid (shr) so I can't simply copy it. Any solutions anyone can think of?
  6. Out of interest...How does the Elgato HD Pro and Avermedia HD 2 PCI-E cards stack up in performance vs ryzen?
  7. Oh snap..My TV has Plex..Problem solved.
  8. Good suggestion.. I'll look into it, though I think that's a Chromecast feature which this TV doesn't and cannot have..lol
  9. Hahahaha... Yes... Pretty much. Samsung have this app called Allshare which has a web browser and dlna file manager type listing.. the USB port works and broadcast works.. just no HDMI...Samsung looked at found a fried board inside but don't have replacement parts
  10. It was a cat armed with static electricity
  11. Hi all! I have a Samsung TV from 2010 I own which has HDMI ports that no longer work (thanks to my old housemate...Anyway). I have found that my synology nas can connect to the TV by dlna...Which works great using an Ethernet adaptor. I want to know if there's any kind of Chromecast like controls that work over dlna where I can have a cleaner play/stop and selection of files than the built in Samsung setup. I know it's an older TV and the big, rather odd, restriction I have is no HDMI.. which takes away from the whole experience I know I could have if could simply
  12. An easier and simpler way of extending your lifespan is to pass it on to the next generation the old fashioned way
  13. There's a new gene therapy technique called CRISPR, which uses a modified mechanism a virus uses to add itself to your genome within a living cell. If someone has their genome sequenced when they are born then we have a complete "undegraded" code seuqnce to refer to when using CRISPR to add/delete/ modify the nucleotides of your telomeres. Studies have been done on worms and mice which have had their lifespans increased using this technique : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23956466 Synthetic DNA is a thing too.. small chromosomes are more easily synthesized than l
