Which is a good graphics card at a budget?

Hello,

I'm wondering what is the bare minimum graphics card I can buy at a really cheap price, but is good enough to allow me to play a game in 60 fps.

I don't mind turning the quality setting down just so I can play it is good. So my question is what graphics cards will allow me to play games at 60fps.

My bench marks are the witcher 3 and fallout 4, being the most graphically demanding games I own.

Any advice would be helpful because I have very, very little amounts of money, like £50 maximum.

Update: After seeing some of the comments, I'll wait until christmas and then have £150 to spend on a gpu. My friend is telling me that a gtx 660 ti should be my lowest purchase, but I don't have the money for it. Plus I'm upgrading my computer from a ddr2 motherboard to be a ddr4 one, so money is the issue for me at the moment.

Those are my recommendations for budget GPU'S, the OP will just have to save up for a bit longer.

go to what ever the craigslist of your area and hunt around. For that price you can probably get a r7 370 and that will do you well.

£50 maximum.

thats a ridiculously low budget for a graphics card. Your one and only hope would be to look for a used graphics card that someone may be selling for that price. something like a gtx 950, 750ti, or whatever.... but if you don't know what you're looking for you're likely to not know what you should be looking for. on the used market you will likely have to choose from an available selection rather than simply getting the one you want (unless you're patient enough)

at £50 you really have to turn to the second hand market, your closest option would be the GT1030 at £70.

i remember a time before brexit where i was jealous of prices in the UK.. that's slowly disappearing bit by bit.

Go on craigslist or ebay and search GTX 970 or R9 390

If you want a decent GPU for 50GPB, second hand is your only choice. If you are patient enough, you will eventually find a good deal. Some GPUs to look out for imo are GTX 670,680,760 on NVidia's side and HD 7870,7950,7970 from AMD (keep in mind these were rebranded as the R9 270X, 280, 280X and later even in the 300 series).

Of course, these won't be able to do 60FPS at ultra, but most of these will handle 60FPS at medium some even high settings.

Just save. Not worth spending that little money on a graphics card. I won't reccomend a GPU in that price range. Unless you find a great used deal on a HD 7870 or up.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

wait and save some more money because it's not worth spending that little on a graphics card.
