Yes it's fairly older and the 1060 is new bout released last October (not too sure)

Depends on the game. Currently running a 8350 with 780ti which is pretty similiar to a 1060. I do see some low usage on games like BF1(90% gpu usage)

Depends on the games you play but I will say it is likely tough it may not if you play the right games!

Depends on what games you're talking about, what settings you're running on those games, what the resolution/refresh rate of your monitor is, and so on...

 

But largely speaking I wouldn't say you should worry about it. If you have the funds to upgrade your CPU as well, go for it. Probably get yourself an R5 1400 (or maybe an R3 if they launch at computex here this week), but if you don't have the money right now you're not going to be getting significantly reduced performance from a "bottleneck" even when it is present so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

what clock is the FX 8350? Those extra two cores and extra FPU can make a difference.

That isn't a massive overclock, you could probably push further unless you got a really bad FX-8350 but I guess the GTX 780 ti is also a bit lesser in performance than the GTX 1060.

It was far as I could push it with a hyper212 at 1.398v.  Reached 62c faster then I wanted. I really should go back and tweak the overclock but iv been to lazy. Funny it's the same clock I got for my 6300 I replaced

Oh damn get a better cooler, look for a dual tower and push it further.

I was considering it for the longest time but i i decided put money aside on ryzen. I dont really want to spend the $80 for the potential ~200mhz bump.

you could always carry the better cooler over to the Ryzen rig, you can never have too much cooling.

I know, but rather save the money and reuse the Hyper 212 since its still a good cooler not amazing but still achieve decent overclocks with it
